The Capital Famous Burger has been on our menu long enough to earn its name. It starts with a 6 oz beef patty grilled to order, and it is garnished the traditional way: crisp lettuce, tomato, onions, pickles, mustard, relish and 1000 Island dressing, all on a toasted sesame seed bun. Cheddar, bacon, mushrooms and Swiss are available if you want to build it up, and it comes with a full plate of fries.
What Makes Our Famous Burger Special
Nothing about it is pre-assembled. The patty goes on the grill when you order, the bun is toasted so it holds up under the garnish, and the dressings go on thick rather than being brushed across. It is a steakhouse burger rather than a fast-food one — the portion is the same size as the rest of our plates, and the fries come out hot with gravy available on the side, the way North Edmonton likes them.
